Congrats your wedding day is on its way. Tami Ann Photography & Videography are so excited to be capturing your special day. Can't wait to share this time with you. By the end we will be very close as we shadow you around all day. Haha. I know this is long but please take the time to read through it. There are some things you prob already know. but some things that will help with your day. Also some things we need from you before the day.

Planning your big day is hard but we are here to help. Unless you have a planner we will be your only venders with you throughout every step of your day. We have seen everything so we can certainly help with most of your questions. But here are some of our main suggestions.

  • NO OTHER PHOTOGRAPHERS OR VIDEOGRAPHERS ON THE DAY. I can't make this any clearer. friends and family with phones are fine. we do ask they don't follow for bridal portraits just due to it can drag out the process but the rest of the time is fine. BUT we are very strict on no other Photographers or videographers paid or unpaid on the day. weather its aunty uncle or friend who has a great camera and says they will just grab some extra shots for you, or you decide u wanted a second shooter for the day so you hire another team. unfortunately this never works, always ends in someone being upset or cranky. so if we arrive to find another photographer or videographer we will refer to your contract and politely leave you in their capable hands. So please tell them to leave their cameras at home and enjoy the day as a guest. ( Please note this isn't applicable if u have hired us as a video only team to work alongside a photographer you already had hired or vise versa. )

  • Plan your hair and make up to finish about 30 mins after we arrive to your location. this allows time for your Hair and make up shots but also for those beautiful getting ready shots with your girls. (also allows that bit of buffer time incase hair and make up is running late)

  • Ensure your Groome understands what is going to happen during his getting ready and that he is actually at his accomodation haha. so many times we turn up and they are out for breakfast or at the pool etc.

  • Take into accomodation travel time between each location when planning ur timeline. this is the biggest thing we encounter that blows out the cost of your coverage as travel time is part of the allocated time for your day. So if we spend 3-4 hrs traveling between getting ready, venue and reception this can add up) Sometimes it can be cheaper to get accomodation for getting ready closer to venue then paying us the extra time.

  • Allocate someone who knows were all the brides things are and that we can talk to on the day to get everything together for your detail shots etc so we aren't having to stop and start your make up artist.

  • Have someone in charge of making sure you drink and eat. This sounds silly but your morning can be so busy unless someone is shoving it in your face you will forget.

  • Once we get to you. please forget about the time. we are there to make sure you run on time. We will watch the clock and stress about time for you. Because if the bride starts stress about the time things take so much longer as they are running around trying to get everyone organised rather then getting herself ready. we will let your bridesmaid know when they need to get dressed. or let guests know when they may need to move on so you can get into your dress. So please enjoy your day and let us be your time keeper. If something happens and we do end up running late we will communicate that to the next venders weather that's celebrant or venue or catering so that they can adjust accordantly.

  • We are there not only as your photographer and videographer but we are there to help. Things like doing up jewellery because no-one can with their fake nails, doing up your dress because no-one knows how to do up a corset, tying ties for the guys because no-one thought to YouTube it before the day. haha. the list goes on. But don't stress we are here to help when unexpected things come up.

  • If you have children! Please allow them to talk to us and at times yes they may get in the way. But trust us we are used to it but we need to be their best friends because after the ceremony when they are tired, had enough and want to go and play but we are asking them to come for photos we have a far better chance of convincing them if we are friends then if they have been told all morning to stay away from us. So we will make a very solid effort to become pretty good friends with your children especially if they are younger. Could be the difference between getting family photos or not.

  • Make sure you have water avaliable for your guests at your ceremony. I know this sounds a given but it . so many times we get to ceremony and guests are hot because they are in the sun and didn't bring a bottle of water because well who takes a drink bottle to a wedding.

  • Organise weather it is with the venue, caterers for food and drinks during your bridal photos. Otherwise I can guarantee you and your bridal party will want to rush through this part because you are hungry and thirsty.

TIME LINE!!

Making sure you have enough time for everything is important. and as you go along a lot of your venders will ask for our timeline to plan their side of things. So below i have put together a draft of a time line for your day to ensure you get the most out of your photography and videography. Please dont think this is a must follow but use it more as a guide to help plan your day.

11am - 12am - groome getting ready

12.15pm - detail photos and bride hair and make up

12.45pm - bride getting ready

1.45pm - we leave for venue

2.00pm - we arrive to setup at ceremony

2.30pm - ceremony starts

3.00pm - ceremony finishes

3pm - 3.30pm - congratulations then family group photos.

3.30pm - bridal party & bride and Groome portraits

5.00pm - reception entry

8.00pm - we finish.

Groome getting ready - Approx 1hr - This time will cover details of his clothing, him getting dressed. photos getting ready with his groomsmen.

For this section make sure he has his suit, shoes, watches or jewellery, and button whole flowers together ready to start. These photos can be done first up as the boys can easily get undressed after we are finished.

Details for bride - approx 30min - This includes details photos of your flowers, dress, rings, jewellery, shoes and anything your wearing during your day. Just make sure you have all this together when we arrive as this is usually the first thing we do when we get there. During this time we will also capture your hair and make up. most of the time these shots are staged.

Bride getting ready - approx 1hr - This time doesnt include hair and make up time. this is time after everyone has finished getting hair and make up. in this time we will do the photos with your bridal party befor getting dresses. the getting the bride dressed. your individual photos and also photos with your bridal team befor you head off.

Venue shots - we will leave you guys 30 - 45 min befor the bride is due to leave. then we can get your groome arriving and guests arriving. This time depends on travel and when the groome is due to arrive. this also gives us a chance to get the photos and video of your venue befor guests arrive.

Group photos - 15 min - Don't underestimate how long this can take to heard everyone. If reception is at the same venue avoid serving drinks until this is done. I normally recommend when you exit from your ceremony if you head straight to were we are going to do the group photo with all your guests that way everyone will follow and will make it run smoother. Also normally the celebrant will announce for us for everyone to follow along for the group photo. After this photo is taken i will then announce that anyone who is not family (or special guest) that isn't needed for the family photo is free to head to reception.

Family photos - 15 - 20 min - We do request you write a list of the different combinations of people you are wanting photos with and sending this through to me befor the day. This makes this part run a lot smoother as i can call of the list and no one gets missed.

Bridal Portraits -1hr if staying on site. This section is your photos with your bridal party and also your photos with each other.

Reception is yours to plan as you like. Things to think about is if you are wanting night photos together at some point during the reception. Also avoid open mics for speeches as they can drag on for a good hour or more. I have seen it happen.

Also dont forget if you feel the time you have booked isnt enough just msg me we can always add extra on.

Things we will need from u before the day.

  • Groomes contact details, also a second contact for someone who will be getting ready with the bride and Groome.

  • addresses for both bride and Groome getting ready, ceremony venue and reception venue.

  • also addresses if your wanting to go off site for photos.

  • List of combinations of photos for your family and friend photos post ceremony. keep this as detailed as possible. eg bride & Groome with sally & Josh (groomes parents) In this list don't think things are a given. if u want a photo of just you and grandma or you and ur mum please put it in.

  • official timeline for your reception. this is either the one your venue has or your mc has for the night. So we know what is coming next.

Any questions or need more info please feel free to msg. 0411368027. Can't wait to capture your special day.
