Newborn Prep Guide

Welcome to Tami Anne Photography and thank you for trusting me to capture your little ones first photo shoot. Below are some key points to make your shoot as Successful as possible. Lead up to the shoot.

• Please make sure you have checked your travel time to get to me. Yes all my clients travel some distance to get here and alot miss judge travel time meaning they arrive very late.

• Please send through any inspiration pics you have or any must get photos and poses. Please dont spring these on me at the shoot. These shots need time to prep for.

Day of the shoot:

• Do not keep baby awake. Stick to as close to a normal routine as possible.

• Try to bath baby befor leaving for your shoot. Helps them feel nice and relaxed.

• Please arrive at least half hr befor your session. during this time allow some awake time after the drive. then offer milk to get back to the sleepy state. This way bub is ready full and sleepy for the start of the session.

• You are welcome to feed in studio. I will be there setting up for the session anyway

For Baby

• Please dess baby in a zip up or button up body suit. please aviod anything that goes over their head.

• If possible put babys nappy on a little loose to avoid those nappy marks.

• Please bring a dummy. Even if baby doesn't use one normally it can be very helpful to keep bub asleep.

For family

• wondering what to wear for your family photos. My advise is keep it simple. Most of these shots are from waist up so just a nice plain shirt will do fine. Siblings also go for plain colours.

• There is a range of toys for children to keep them happy while bub gets photos done.

• Dont forget snacks and drinks though.

The Shoot.

• Your session will take 2-3 hrs depending how well bub sleeps. during this time at least half will be settling baby. So please dont worry if it feels like bub spent half it fussing. that is normal.

• There will be fan heaters on baby. This is to keep baby settled. a warm baby is a happy baby.

• If you are doing sibling and family photos i am more then happy to do sibling and family photos first if you would rather the other kids head of with one parent to the park or somewhere a little more fun.
